Multiple Desktops on Windows
June 29th, 2011 under Windows. [ Comments: none ]

After working for a long time with my Arch Linux, I had to start working with Windows. Up till now I was pretty annoyed that working on different projects at the same time isn’t comfortable on Windows. The reason for this is that I got so used working with multiple desktops that I always got confused which windows I opened for which project. Hence, I searched for a nifty tool that offers multiple desktops on windows.

virtuawin.sourceforge.net

I tested a few others but none was a elaborate as virtualwin. It lets you configure the multiple desktop just as you know it from *nix systems. It has still some minor issues but overall an amazing tool.

If you’re like me, and you like working with multiple desktops you should definitely give it a try.

Dr. House: See, that is exactly the kind of brilliance that sounds deep, but you could say it about any person who doesn't pine for the social approval of everyone he meets - which you were cleverly able to deduce about me by not being a moron. Next time, tell God to be more specific.”
